Nikos G. Kalatzis was Born in Piraeus in 1962. He is member of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece.

He lived his childhood in Perama. Being part of his life since the early years painting became his main professional goal as he finished school. At the age of 17 he took part in the Pan-Hellenic painting contest organized by the Central Navy General staff (Γ.Ε.Ν ) and got the second award. After finishing school in 1980 he studied painting in Athens under guidance of Prof. Mr. Varlas.

His first personal exhibition took place in the municipality of Piraeus in 1982.

From 1982 to 1984 he continued his studies, this time with Mr. Nikos Pissas as his teacher.

In the last 30 years he was present with a lot of exhibitions in Greece (Athens, Piraeus, Herakleio, Chania, Antirrio) and Cyprus (Limassol).

Paintings of Nikos Kalatzis can be seen in the Greek Parliament, the Municipality of Perama, the Municipality of Nafpaktos and a lot of them are in possession of private collectors in Greece and abroad.

He is married and has three children. He lives and works in Nafpaktos.
